Review:

The film starts as a simple love story between the lead couple Mudit (Ayushmaan Khurrana) and Sugandha(Bhumi Padnekar) and goes on to touch the topic of erectile dysfunction considered a taboo by society, as the film progresses.

Mudit, a shy Delhi guy falls for the confident Sugandha while standing in the ATM queue.While he is unable to profess his love to Sugandha due to a funny encounter, he decides to send an online marriage proposal, much to the surprise and annoyance of Sugandha, who is waiting for her own filmy love story to start before taking things ahead.While she agrees to the proposal, the couple is in for a rude shock when an intimate moment between them leads to the revelation that mudit suffers from erectile dysfunction.While the couple is trying to deal with the problem, the families too get involved ensuring a whole lot of drama with Mudit trying to find a solution from everywhere including a Bangali Baba, a veterinary doctor, and pornography.

Even though the film should be appreciated for the topic, it is dealt in a humorous manner without giving it too much weight age and at one point even dismissing it as just "performance anxiety".Also, it is referred to as gent's problem by everyone rather than the actual term.

The film has some great dialogues that threw light on the distorted ideas of masculinity, the bizarre rituals that are followed even in this age,the onus put on women to bear children even when the problem lies with the man and how discussion around sex is hushed up in families so much so that the female protagonist 's mother uses metaphors and poem to discuss sex and intimacy with her daughter only to be reminded by her to use the word sex as it is perfectly normal.
Bhumi and Ayushmaan are cute and adorable as a couple.
Bhumi comes across as a strong woman who decides to support her man and stand by him irrespective of whether his problem is cured or not, despite being discouraged by her father, and is firm on the belief that there would be much more to their life as a married couple than just his problem.
Ayushmaan, who started his film career by playing a sperm donor, once again does justice to the unconventional role he plays.He displays a variety of emotions such as anger, frustration, embarrassment with ease.

While the film discusses a sensitive topic without being crass, it is funny and enjoyable, providing wholesome entertainment to the viewer
